LU biscuits help you enjoy expertise from the Ardennes!

Made in Charleville-Mézières by MONDELEZ FRANCE BISCUITS PRODUCTION, the famous boat-shaped LU biscuit has been riding a wave of success for over half a century.

Dreamed up by the Ardennes resident Grégory Marlier in 1963, this tasty biscuit appeals to young and old. Indeed, its shape allows children to enjoy eating it.

MONDELEZ FRANCE BISCUITS PRODUCTION created a jam without colourings or preservatives, which doesn’t run and won’t "overflow". A manufacturing process incorporating this feature has also been developed for the chocolate product range.

In recent years, the Ardennes factory has expanded its production with the manufacture of jam-filled madeleines and bear-shaped cakes.

Today, about 150 employees work on 5 biscuit production lines. Supported by the MONDELEZ EUROPE group, the European leader in the production of biscuits, chocolate and confectionery (sweets and chewing gum), the Charleville-Mézières based institution has developed flagship brands for children's snacks.

The MONDELEZ group earned more than 30 billion euros from sales in 2014 with 100,000 employees in a hundred countries.
