Located to the north of Charleville-Mézières, the Vieilles-Forges lake offers an ideal setting in which to enjoy a host of recreational activities within a breathtaking natural environment.

Nestled at the heart of the Ardennes Massif, and just a few kilometres from the Meuse Valley, Vieilles-Forges leisure park is an environment that is suitable for both lazing around and for sporting activities on land, water or in the air.

The area also offers trails for hiking and mountain biking, as well as Segway tours around the lake. It beach, labelled by Pavillon Bleu, is a place specialising in nautical entertainment: pedalos, canoeing/kayaking, windsurfing, catamaran sailing, rowing and paddle boarding (a derivative of surfing).

For the more adventurous, a treetop adventure park called Ardennes Terre d’Aventures has been set up in a natural space spanning 3 hectares. It attracts between 11,500 and 15,000 visitors each year.

For little ones, a park that is open to children aged 2 and over opened last year: Elfy park. This new family attraction offers a veritable forest adventure (tree houses, barefoot trails, toboggan runs, the 'sea of nets'…) immersed in the legends of the Ardennes.

Furthermore, this exceptional site is home to the congress center of Conseil Départemental [Departmental Council Conference Centre], which hosts numerous events (general meetings, seminars, cultural events).

The leisure park of course offers several accommodation options, including six gites that have been awarded "2 Clés Vacances" certification and a 3-star camping village managed by HOMAIR VACANCES.
