ACCIOME 08: expertise in concrete
Created in 2015 by Laurent Vélin, a professional in the concrete and sheet metal industry (over 25 years of experience), the Acciome 08 company is continuing to expand further in a new building in the heart of the Parc Naturel Régional des Ardennes, in the Bellevue aux Mazures business area.
Specialising in the design, manufacturing and installation of custom-made concrete structures (prefabricated rooms, tanks, beams, retaining walls, frames, etc.), Acciome 08 also manufactures moulds and metal formwork for concrete parts used for safety, sanitation, hydraulic and electrical equipment as well as street furniture. With the takeover in 2017 of the Frezzato steelworking company, the Ardennes company was able to further broaden its skillset. The quality of its products and its reputation has meant it now collaborates with big names in the construction industry. Acciome 08 is particularly involved with projects in the Greater Paris region through supplying their concrete structural elements and sheet metal tools.
In order to develop its business activities and optimise its structuring, the company has acquired a third industrial building with a 1,200 m² surface area on its current site. The construction and financing were provided by the Communauté de Communes Vallées et Plateau d’Ardenne. Acciome 08 has also invested in a concrete batching plant, with the support of the Grand Est region and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). CEO Laurent Vélin now has the space to develop new projects. For example, he is working on a "turnkey" housing concept with very low energy consumption. Acciome 08 employs around fifty people and new hires are planned to meet growing demand.
The expertise from many experienced SMEs often lies behind large-scale projects. In the Ardennes, local and regional stakeholders are mobilising to find them the space they need for their growth and provide them with enough financial support to enable them to innovate and modernise.
