Ardennes CN: a thriving business in Nouzonville

Located in the Meuse Valley, at the heart of the Ardennes industrial basin, Ardennes CN stands out for its range of solutions. Initially specialising in the design and training of machining programmes for digitally controlled machines, the company has since extended its activities to include the sale of machine tools and the manufacture of parts mainly for the aerospace industry.

Since the creation of Ardennes CN Aero, the group has been structured around seven entities, from programming to distribution and manufacturing. Integrated in 2011 and 2012, Maxors and Amo are two subsidiaries with a commercial vocation, enabling them to sustain orders in the automotive sector, but also to integrate new markets such as nuclear, defence and naval.

With this in mind, the company, which works for the nuclear branch of General Electric in Belfort, decided to set up a unit in the brand new Morvillars crafter village at the end of last year. This 250 m² branch provides a local service for this major client. The aim is to invest €500,000 in the acquisition of 5 machines and eventually 10 employees.

At its Nouzonville site, the company recently invested in a next-generation HSM x 5-axis machine, designed to cut any material so it can consolidate its position in the nuclear market.  Ardennes CN is a pioneering French company in the installation of this cutting-edge machine, which is already used in other countries such as China, Spain and Portugal.

In addition, a building extension has just been completed to expand activities and accommodate new investment in the defence market.

Today, the Ardennes CN group, which has a team of 56 employees at the Nouzonville site out of a total of 80, is striving to introduce new technologies into its production tools in order to extend the limits of metal fabrication and offer its customers innovative solutions, whatever their expectations in terms of subcontracting or services. As a result, the company can now produce larger and larger parts, up to 5m for milling and 3m for turning.

Thanks to its commitment to excellence, recognised expertise and innovative spirit, Ardennes CN continues to prosper and contribute to the economic development of French Ardennes.
