FABER: process innovation!

FABER: process innovation!

Renowned for its innovative processes, FABER, a company based in Bazeilles in French Ardennes, has launched an ambitious social and managerial policy.

FABER designs and manufactures components for machines and packing lines, as well as various different industry conveyor solutions : feed screws, roller sleeves, equipment for packaging machines... As such, the company has been collaborating with major companies within the food, health and cosmetics industries for more than 60 years, offering solutions suited to their needs (Nestlé, Amora, Clarins, Boiron, L’Oréal, Guerlain…).

Aware of the fact that human beings are at the heart of its expertise, as a company, FABER is engaged in a process of Socio-Economic Management (SEM), and recently committed to an ambitious policy for the optimisation of employee skills through a scheme for the Forward Planning of Employment and Skills (in French “Gestion Prévisionnelle des Emplois et des Compétences”, GPEC).

This decision was presented to all of the employees at the start of October 2020. It addresses three main issues. First of all, it entails the mapping of skills and training requirements in the short and medium term, across the company's 2 sites (one in French Ardennes and the other in Paris region). This will culminate in a training plan, which will emphasize the transmission of skills and the improvement of versatility among employees. It will aim to promote and regulate internal mobility within group entities.

Finally, the third issue concerns skills-based sponsorship. FABER hopes to leverage the skills held by its employees in order to benefit associations of recognised public utility. This setup will also enable employees who wish to do so, to realise group or individual projects during their working hours. This agreement rounds off several actions already taken to improve the well-being of employees.

While showing sustained growth, FABER is responding to technological requirements without neglecting societal aspects. Always on the lookout for new talent, the company is recruiting in French Ardennes (design office technician, estimator, lathe operator - regulator...).
