CADSIM 3D: innovation as a driver of growth

Since it was founded in Charleville-Mézières in 2017, CADSIM 3D, an industrial business specialising in the design and production of special machines and digital simulation (calculation notes), has participated in numerous collaborations and expanded its activity in French Ardennes.

It all began in the digital simulation department of MICADO (DINCCS), where Elvis Kwassi, an experienced engineer with a PhD in this field, decided to delve further into his area of expertise. The resulting firm, CADSIM 3D, can help companies in a variety of sectors (aeronautics, automotive, forging, etc.) to realise their industrial projects. Made up of 12 people (draughtsmen, designers, and qualified engineers), his team designs and manufactures turnkey machines for industrial businesses. Additionally, they carry out finite-element structural calculations to simulate the behaviour of parts, assemblies and processes. They specialise in mechanical design and digital simulation, providing technical assistance where necessary. One of CADSIM 3D's main objectives is to offer manufacturers, who do not always have the necessary internal resources, all the benefits of its employees' skills and its state-of-the-art equipment for computer-aided design (CAD) and finite-element digital simulation.

Freshly installed in new, more spacious premises in the Mohon business park (2021), CADSIM 3D has invested in new equipment using financial support from France Relance. The workshop now has the capacity to manufacture and develop machines, breaking free from its dependence on subcontractors. But its young leader and entrepreneur Elvis Kwassi still has many projects in the works, which will require further workshop expansions and new equipment. The proposed projects include: a collaboration with Platinium 3D to reduce testing and predict warping in terms of 3D printing, the development of nanotechnology machinery with C2N (a lab for the French National Centre for Scientific Research), and more.

Closely followed and supported by Ardennes Développement, Elvis Kwassi is part of a new generation of entrepreneurs who are revitalising French Ardennes economy and cementing its place in the industry of the future.
